June's Book

Hello ladies,

I know that I am totally jumping ahead of myself here, but I was ordering a prezzy for Christien from Chaperts online and was going to pick up the James Frey book for our June read. Just found out that it's coming out in paperback in May. The 6th or the 12th. So for those of you who haven't bought it yet, or enjoy paperbacks more then hardcover, it'll be out soon. Just thought that I would share. Have a wonderfully, fantastic, sun shiney weekend!

Darn, already purchased it in hard cover. Can't beleive we're into Edgar Sawtelle already soon. I'm just about finished Wolf and starting Edgar Sawtelle early so I won't have to rush through it.

I really hope Edgar Sawtelle is all it's cracked up to be since it's my pick.

Some tulips are up, strawberry patch is already green and my gout weed is coming in nicely. I hope that the Hydrangea has survived the winter too. It's still alive which is a good sign. New shoots are starting on the perennials I planted last year so that means that reading on a deck lounger with wine in hand is fast approaching!

Costco's garden center is open today so for all those who are itching to get planting...I may be the only one, plants are super cheap there!

I'm up for hosting the next book club since it's my book. Beginning of June is a perfect time to enjoy the end of reno's and the start of summer!

Finished A Wolf this weekend. Can't wait to have a meeting about this one. Easy read, and I'm debating starting Edgar early as well. Perhaps I will, perhaps I will. What's the decision on book club for April? Are we doing the second Friday in May (as the Superior girls have a prior commitment on the first Friday).

OMGOSH. Still reading Wolf at the table.. it's good, typical for Augusten, however I feel horrible for this guy. In running with sissors you see what a nut job his mom turns out to be, but i am maybe a little ok with this since he is older. BUT IN THIS BOOK! OMGOSH the dad is a fucking crazy! Can you imagine how scared... so many sad parts in this book =(

Like it a lot though =)

I cried....the ugly cry....when I read about the poor dog with the tumor. Gutwrenching. And poor Cream. Sigh.

Oh yeah, totally gutwrenching for him too.
