I'm Stuck

I have a mental block. I can not read A Wild Ride Up the Cupboards!!! I find I can read about a paragraph at a time. I think it's because I'm dying to run out and buy another Phillipa Gregory novel, this time about Queen Elizabeth I. The bastard child of Henry IV and Anne Boleyn.

Is it just my fascination with Tudor England, or is it Mommy Tale Fatigue?

Thoughts?

I think that it took me a bit to get through the first few chapters. It's really not a total mommy tale. It's a pretty good book. With that being said, now that I am almost done, I haven't really had the urge to pick it up. I think I'm just back to being too busy.

Yeah Im having a hard time getting into it too. It's interesting and all...but its not luring me into find out what happens.

Perhaps if I pretended it was Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carey it would be more interesting....ummm...non.

I put it down half way to read something else too. I picked it up again and couldn't get back in to it. I'm going to vote on Mommy Tale Fatique, I find it's a mix of Mommies who drink crossed with The glass castle sans neglect. Good thing it's a short book. Read a different one first and then go back to it, that way you have a deadline and will HAVE to finish it.

I also vote on being anxious to read all of the new picks! I got all of my books delivered last week and I can't wait to dive in.
